Jo Slama

Jo Slama grew up on a farm in a small town in Northeast Nebraska, shaping her work ethic and commitment to excellence from a young age. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1982. After working several years in the manufacturing industry as a marketing manager, Ms. Slama continued her education by entering law school. She graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1990, with high distinction. She was a member of the academic legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi and Order of Barristers.
Ms. Slama has committed her practice to the highly complex areas of medical malpractice litigation, nursing home negligence, trucking accidents and insurance bad faith. She limits her cases to those which involve catastrophic injury, wrongful death, or other significant injury or damages. Tireless preparation and relentless investigation have been the hallmarks of her approach in fighting for justice for her clients.
Ms. Slama has handled virtually every type of malpractice case imaginable, including birth trauma, surgery mistakes, anesthesia complications, and dental malpractice. Ms. Slama has represented clients in medical malpractice cases against all major hospitals within Oklahoma, including corporate health care systems and government run clinics and hospitals. Ms. Slama has also handled many cases against nursing homes, including large corporate chains, and individually owned and operated nursing homes. She has fought insurance companies and HMO’s, winning recoveries ranging from unpaid medical bills, to approvals for life-saving medical treatments.
Ms. Slama has served as adjunct law faculty at Oklahoma City University, teaching trial practice and applied evidence. She has also given presentations and lectures for continuing legal education in the areas of litigation technology, medical malpractice, and ERISA/insurance litigation.

Madison Stockwell Clark

Madison Clark is a civil litigation attorney at Slama Legal Group, with a focus on complex cases including medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death. Her legal experience is rooted in trial advocacy and strategic case resolution. Prior to joining Slama Legal Group, Madison spent six years as a prosecutor in Oklahoma and Cleveland Counties, trying a wide range of criminal matters and sharpening her instincts for investigation and trial work. During her time at the District Attorney’s office, she developed a sharp courtroom presence and deep understanding of complex legal issues. Drawing on a decade of courtroom experience, she brings a prosecutor’s precision and a litigator’s tenacity to every case she handles.
Madison earned her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2016, following a B.B.A. in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. In 2022, she joined Slama Legal Group, where she now represents individuals and businesses in high-stakes civil matters across Oklahoma.
Madison is known for her direct approach, meticulous preparation and relentless advocacy for her clients. Her work on complex cases has proven her strength in discovery, uncovering critical details and finding the “needle in the haystack” that can shift the outcome of a case.
